WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group. To be ready for independence, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles (see here: build your career on our Standalone Transformation).
* In this role you take ownership of the preparation and publication of the Group's external financial reports, including annual and interim financial statements, the management report ("Lagebericht") and regulatory filings, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and internal reporting standards.
* Your expertise is in demand as you manage and further develop the disclosure tool, prepare and review notes and disclosures, and ensure full alignment with consolidated figures, accounting policies and applicable reporting requirements.
* You ensure that group accounting policies and IFRS interpretations defined by Accounting Governance / IFRS are consistently applied and accurately reflected throughout all external reporting outputs.
* You translate complex accounting topics into clear, compliant and decision‑useful disclosures, particularly in areas requiring significant judgment such as business combinations, impairments, provisions and equity‑related matters.
* You act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on reporting‑related matters, coordinating audit requests, discussions and deliverables while explaining reporting judgments and presentation decisions. You also participate in cross‑functional projects (e.g., reorganizations, carve‑outs, acquisitions) with a focus on accounting, external reporting and governance implications.
* Last but not least, you collaborate closely with colleagues from Consolidation, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, ESG and Investor Relations to orchestrate inputs, ensure consistent messaging and deliver high‑quality, complete and transparent external reporting results.

WHAT YOU OFFER
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
* at least 5 years of experience in external reporting, audit or related areas, ideally within an IFRS environment dealing with complex accounting topics; leadership experience is an advantage
* strong knowledge of IFRS‑based external financial reporting and a solid understanding of end‑to‑end reporting processes including closings, disclosure preparation and publication cycles in a group environment
* strong analytical and drafting skills to translate complex technical accounting matters into clear, accurate and audit‑ready disclosures, with the ability to appropriately address judgment‑heavy topics in the financial statements
* proven digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and quality
* excellent English skills as well as solid familiarity with SAP ERP, disclosure tools and common MS Office applications
* clear communication and effective stakeholder management skills, acting with confidence when interacting with auditors and cross‑functional finance teams
