• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure and systems that support our applications and services. This includes building robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. Youll participate in on-call rotations, responding to incidents and conducting thorough post-mortems to drive continuous improvement.

• Work collaboratively with development teams, to help design systems with reliability in mind from the ground up.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks, develop tools to improve system efficiency, and establish service level objectives (SLOs) to balance reliability with feature velocity. Performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost management will also be part of your task.

• Working closely with development and security teams, youll integrate DevSecOps principles and implement automated scanning for compliance monitoring, and governance controls.

• Contribute to our culture of reliability by mentoring junior engineers, establishing best practices, and advocating for engineering excellence across the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Previous Work Experience, including proficiency areas

5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering roles. You should have strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, and extensive experience with AWS cloud platform. Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and distributed systems architecture is essential.

• Technical / Domain Specific / Functional Experience and Knowledge

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, as well as container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or similar technologies. Expertise with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, etc is important, along with strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

• Additional technical domain knowledge requirements

Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies, knowledge of database administration and optimization for systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases, and familiarity with incident management frameworks and chaos engineering practices would be valuable additions.

• Desirable skills

Background in security best practices and compliance requirements, along with contributions to open-source projects or technical communities, are also appreciated.
