About the Program: IT Cloud is a program whose vision is to run next generation IT on the Salesforce platform and optimized business processes. Through this initiative, we will revolutionize IT and set the industry standard for running the business. 

Within the program, the Engineering Lifecycle Automation tracks goal is to redesign the way that engineering and software development is done at Salesforce IT. 


Role: 

The primary or key interface between IT delivery teams and business partner subject matter experts. This role is responsible for gathering, organizing, and documenting business requirements in shareable, actionable, standardized formats. The Senior BSA role is focused in a specific functional scope yet covers its broader system/technical domains. 

The Senior BSA should share a comparable level of subject matter expertise with their business partners and a robust understanding of the technology concepts applicable for the functions. Confident engaging with business and technology partners, the Senior BSA is adept at distinguishing objectives, obstacles, and solutions. Senior BSAs may contribute to solution designs, testing plans and execution, as well as the training, troubleshooting, and project management aspects of addressing business and operational needs. 

Responsibilities: 
The Senior BSA collaborates with the Product Owner on requirements, business value scoring and success metrics. The BSA drives the requirements gathering process that accurately reflects business needs, including: risk analysis, as is and to be process documentation, agnostic of a specific technical solution. The BSA reviews technical solutions for compliance to business process and objectives. The BSA coordinates end to end UAT cycle. The BSA develops organizational change management framework; communication, training, and post implementation support. The BSA also writes business level (feature group/functional success metrics) acceptance criteria. A typical day may also include: 
Analyzing the business processes and business systems for inefficiencies 
Facilitating recommendations for solutions or improvements and reviewing solutions that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology. 
Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team. 
Analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs by documenting business requirements. 
Documenting and evaluating required data and information. 
Using modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success. 
Plan, prioritize and deliver systems enhancements. Support and upgrade implemented systems 

Able to: 
Work proactively on customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner 
Communicate at both the business and technical level (written and verbal) 
Work very comfortably with stakeholders at the department or division level. 
Juggle multiple issues, set expectations and prioritize accordingly 
Research and respond to customer questions 
Navigate complex situations involving multiple parties 

Familiar with: 

The process of engineering IT solutions (software primarily), and the tools/processes involved in it: requirements management, source management, systems for managing user stories, code deployments, release management, environment management, CI/CD tools 
Salesforce Core product and features 
Force.com features and capabilities 
Ideally Service Cloud experience with concepts and capabilities
