Senior QA Automation Engineer – HD Maps

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader in AI and accelerated computing, to hire a Senior Software QA Engineer to support internal mapping tools used by the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Mapping team.

This role focuses on testing UI-based map editing platforms used to create and label HD and SD maps that support autonomous vehicle technologies. The QA engineer will work closely with engineering and mapping operations teams to ensure the reliability and quality of tools used to build high-precision map data.

This is a full-time (W-2) contract role based out of Santa Clara, CA with Hybrid work options. We offer competitive pay $40/hr - $60/hr based on factors like experience, education, location, etc. and provide full benefits, PTO, and amazing company culture!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Test UI-based map editing tools used by operators to create and label HD and SD maps for autonomous vehicle systems
• Validate workflows used to create, edit, and manage geospatial map data
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for complex UI applications
• Perform functional, regression, and release testing in a fast-paced development environment
• Contribute automated UI test cases using Python to expand test coverage
• Identify, document, and triage defects in collaboration with engineering teams
• Partner with map operations teams to validate tool usability and workflow reliability
• Support frequent releases of internal mapping tools and features

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of Software QA experience testing UI-based applications
• Experience testing map editing or map creation tools
• Experience working in mapping, geospatial, navigation, or autonomous vehicle environments
• Strong understanding of UI testing for complex internal platforms or tools
• Experience contributing to UI automation using Python
• Familiarity with Agile development and release cycles

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with HD mapping or SD mapping systems
• Experience working with autonomous vehicle or navigation mapping teams
• Experience testing tools used by map operations teams or data annotation teams
