The Senior Program Manager - Engineering Transformation. is a senior technical role within the OFSE Central Technology Team. This position is responsible for defining, evaluating, and executing enterprise‑wide digital engineering transformation initiatives. The role partners with senior leadership, engineering teams, IT, and strategic suppliers to deploy advanced digital design, simulation, artificial intelligence, and engineering data platforms that improve productivity, quality, and time‑to‑market across the OFSE portfolio.

As a Senior Project Engineer – Engineering Transformation, you will play a key role in driving enterprise digital engineering adoption and governance. You will lead technical evaluations, support strategy and roadmap execution, manage complex transformation projects, and engage directly with engineering, IT, suppliers, and executive stakeholders.

As a Senior Project Engineer – Engineering Transformation, you will be responsible for:

Technology Scouting & Evaluation

  • Identifying, evaluating, and benchmarking digital engineering tools and platforms, including CAD, CAE, artificial intelligence, scientific computing, and engineering data management systems.
  • Leading proof‑of‑concept activities and structured technical assessments.
  • Presenting technical evaluations, recommendations, and trade studies to technical and business leadership.

Strategy, Governance & Road Mapping

  • Supporting development and execution of technical roadmaps for the OFSE Intelligent Design Platform.
  • Contributing to supplier strategy, tool selection, and CAE governance models.
  • Developing and maintaining policies governing utilization, operation, and sustainment of the digital engineering environment.
  • Identifying and coordinating subject matter experts for key digital engineering tools and technologies.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Defining technical scope, requirements, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria for engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Tracking progress and managing scope, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Leading engagement with internal teams and external technology suppliers.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical, schedule, cost, and execution risks.

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

  • Serving as a technical interface across OFSE engineering teams, IT, suppliers, and leadership.
  • Communicating technical status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Supporting design reviews, gate reviews, and executive briefings.

Requirements, Verification & Validation

  • Ensuring requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Planning and overseeing verification and validation activities for deployed solutions.
  • Confirming compliance with applicable performance, quality, and governance standards.

Risk, Quality & Compliance

  • Supporting quality planning, design reviews, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and engineering standards.
  • Escalating issues proactively with well‑defined mitigation plans.

Communication & Employee Engagement

  • Fostering a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture through employee engagement activities such as webinars, collaboration platforms, and knowledge sharing forums.
  • Acting as a liaison between OFSE Engineering and internal and external partners.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline with 8–10+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in an Engineering or Physics discipline with 5–8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Have proven experience in project planning and execution for complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
  • Possess practical and theoretical knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing, prototype development, and testing.
  • Have hands‑on experience using digital engineering tools from vendors such as Ansys, SIMULIA, MathWorks, Hexagon, or Siemens.
  • Exhibit an action‑oriented, ethical, and customer‑focused mindset.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms.
  • Familiarity with one or more digital engineering design or simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of scientific computing and engineering IT systems.
  • Experience with CAE tool licensing, deployment, and usage management.
  • Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills applied to complex, multidimensional challenges.
