Amazon Japan's Marketing Team is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to own the technology and measurement infrastructure that powers Japan's marketing organization. This role sits at the intersection of business, marketing, and engineering, delivering fit-for-purpose tech solutions across platform integrations, marketing measurement, and analytics infrastructure. Operating in a high-ambiguity environment, you'll balance global constraints with Japan-specific needs, navigate complex multi-stakeholder landscapes, and directly enable Japan Marketing's contribution to business growth goals.

Key job responsibilities
Product Strategy & Platform Integration
- Define product strategy and roadmap for messaging platform integration spanning order notifications, personalized messaging, in-app commerce, and creator marketing
- Design end-to-end customer experiences meeting JP cultural expectations
- Lead product development from customer needs, owning business cases and tracking KPIs
- Onboard lower-funnel channel solutions and shopping integrations with major platforms
Measurement & Analytics Infrastructure
- Lead Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) onboarding, coordinating with agency partners, analytics vendors, and global teams
- Own data provisioning for model setup and continuous measurement across channels and campaigns (2+ years historical data)
- Drive Japan's integration into global measurement infrastructure with Japan-specific data flows
- Partner with economics and measurement teams to design and run randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for MMM calibration
- Build performance dashboards covering full-funnel marketing activities and investment scenario analysis
- Manage quarterly data provisioning cycles and ensure taxonomy alignment to global standards
- Develop measurement roadmap to drive consistent, comparable measurement across marketing activities
Technical Leadership & Execution
- Collaborate on technical architecture and API integration decisions for messaging platforms and mobile apps
- Navigate contract negotiations with external partners across legal, security, and compliance
- Lead technical reviews with third-party measurement providers and drive security approvals for data sharing

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition for technical products or online services
- 6+ years of product management experience in consumer-facing technology products with proven experience in feature delivery and making tradeoffs of product decisions
- 8+ years in technology, e-commerce, or digital platforms
- 6+ years of experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product, including evaluating technical tradeoffs and guiding engineering decisions from a product perspective
- 6+ years of experience managing technical products or online services with complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across global and local teams
- 6+ years of experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
