Join Equifax as a Senior Product Manager within our Sydney-based Consumer Product team. In this pivotal role, you will shape the strategy and execution of our consumer risk segment, enabling Australia’s leading lenders to make data-driven, fair credit decisions while modernising our risk platforms to drive measurable client outcomes and business growth.


What you’ll do 

  • Market Opportunity Assessment: Drive overall market understanding through analysis and industry research to identify high-potential growth opportunities.

  • Competitive Evaluation: Evaluate the competitive landscape to articulate high-potential opportunities and differentiate our risk solutions.

  • Market Validation: Conduct review and testing of concepts with existing and prospective customers (voice of customer) to validate hypotheses.

  • Product Definition: Assess and own development of strategic partnerships and define product requirements based on market needs, including build, buy, or partner decisions.

  • Commercial Strategy: Facilitate the development of commercial models and packaging to ensure the product's commercial success.

  • Strategy & Planning: Communicate the product vision and develop business cases and roadmaps used across the Product Delivery Value Stream.

  • Objective Tracking: Monitor attainment of objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Delivery & Launch: Write precise requirements and oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle and product release.

  • Growth & Portfolio Management: Track performance against revenue and margin targets to ensure the product’s commercial success.

  • Lifecycle Decisions: Analyse data to drive key lifecycle decisions, including product enhancements or decommissioning.


What experience you need 

  • 7+ years of product management experience within a product-led organisation, ideally in Financial Services or Data & Analytics.

  • Experience leading a product roadmap and strategy for a high visibility platform

  • Demonstrated experience utilising Agile methodologies and/or formal project management frameworks.

  • Proven experience in writing detailed product requirements focusing on business value and ROI.

  • Demonstrated ability to organise and coordinate efforts effectively within a highly matrixed corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of delivering cloud-based products and services is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with product stack tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha.

  • Practical experience applying Design Thinking principles for innovation, including personas, empathy mapping, and prototyping.

  • Direct professional experience in consumer risk, credit risk decisioning, or credit lifecycle products.

  • Experience leading products used in operations or contact centre environments with a focus on usability and operational efficiency.

  • Proven success in managing products through a large-scale technology modernisation or cloud migration.

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to build complex financial models or commercial cases to support prioritisation and investment decisions.
