Senior Manager - Revenue Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting who can focus on high-impact, complex revenue recognition projects that elevate our accounting and reporting capabilities. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Revenue and is responsible for all technical accounting activities and related close and reporting activities. As a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting, you will have a strong mastery of current US GAAP and technical accounting pronouncements and must possess strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail. 

Key Responsibilities. 

• Perform and assist in monthly revenue cycle controls, including contract reviews and deal support, working with consultants
• Responsible for compliance with ASC606 requirements including SSP setups & updates and usage based revenue recognition 
• Perform and assist in the performance of technical accounting research on all topics related to revenue and prepare/update memos as needed
• Design and implement systems and processes to automate revenue recognition in alignment with revenue recognition policies and objectives
• Perform close-related accounting reviews and analyses 
• Work with cross-functional teams including Legal, Deals Desk, Rev Ops & FP&A

• 8+ years of experience across technical revenue accounting 
• Public Accounting Experience: Proven experience in public accounting, ideally with one of the Big 4 firms
• Managerial non-audit experience and experience working with remote teams 
• Deep understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and standards, and experience applying revenue recognition principles in complex SaaS or technology companies 
• Experience in implementing software tools such as Klarity AI, NetSuite ARM for revenue recognition automation 
• Advanced Analytical Skills: Proven ability to handle intricate technical analyses and create clear, actionable reports or position papers 
• Ability to adapt quickly and operate effectively in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/week (Tues - Thurs) from our San Mateo, CA headquarters. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $223,000. This role is also eligible for a target bonus. 

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level.
