Senior Manager M365 & Collaboration Platforms

Sydney Office - George Street April 8, 2026 Full Time

About the role

The Senior Manager M365 and Collaboration Platforms is accountable for the end‑to‑end strategy, performance, security, compliance, enhancement, adoption, and user experience of BOQ Group’s Microsoft 365, collaboration, and communications platforms. This role provides senior leadership across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem, enterprise audio and video conferencing and meeting room technology, the Group’s knowledge and work management platforms (Confluence and Jira), and corporate telephony, ensuring these critical services enable modern, secure, and productive ways of working.

As the platform owner, you will define and own the service strategy, operating model, and roadmap, ensuring disciplined service management and continuous improvement across all platforms. You will drive service outcomes through strong governance, including SLAs, SLOs and experience‑led measures, chairing service reviews and risk forums, leading major incident and problem management, and governing change and release readiness. Working closely with Cyber Security, Risk & Compliance, delivery partners, and business stakeholders, you will maintain robust controls while maximising value realisation across the Group.

You will champion customer‑centric design, standardisation, and adoption to uplift the digital employee experience. This includes governing Microsoft release cycles, driving behavioural change through structured adoption programs, and ensuring changes are assessed for risk, compliance, and user impact before deployment. You will also lead the governance and continuous improvement of unified communications, meeting room technologies, and knowledge management platforms, ensuring reliable, consistent, and scalable experiences for all users.

Through strong people leadership and vendor management, you will lead high‑performing teams and partners, optimise platform value and cost, and embed BOQ Group values in day‑to‑day ways of working. Your strategic vision, commitment to customer excellence, and dedication to continuous improvement will play a critical role in enabling BOQ staff, fostering a culture of innovation, and shaping the future of digital work across BOQ Group.

About you

You are an experienced senior technology leader with proven end‑to‑end ownership of Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms in complex, regulated environments. You bring strong accountability for service outcomes, including SLAs, SLOs and experience measures, alongside security posture, adoption, and user experience. You have a demonstrated ability to define and deliver strategic roadmaps, operating models, and governance frameworks, translating business outcomes into clear, executable plans and release strategies.

You possess deep technical and operational expertise across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and associated security and compliance capabilities. You have strong experience leading enterprise communications platforms such as Teams Calling, unified communications, audio/video conferencing, and meeting room technologies. Your well‑developed IT Service Management capability spans incident, problem, change, request and knowledge management, underpinned by a strong continuous improvement mindset and mature service reporting.

You are a confident and credible stakeholder leader, able to engage effectively with executives and senior leaders while also providing clear, user‑centred communication during change and major incidents. You bring proven experience managing vendors and managed service partners, including contract and performance governance, licence optimisation, cost control and escalations. With excellent judgement, you balance risk, compliance, cost and user experience in ambiguous or high‑pressure situations. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field are required, with certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft 365/Teams and/or Atlassian highly regarded.
