About The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Manager, Conferences & Community Events to lead Fora’s large-scale, community-facing event strategy and execution.

This role serves as the strategic owner and driver of Fora’s most visible gatherings — including our annual flagship conference Live Forum, Networking Roadshows, Keynote Events, and other community-driven experiences that connect, inspire, and empower our travel advisors.

You’ll oversee the strategy, budget, and execution of these programs while leading a small but growing team. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and operational excellence — someone who can think big, execute flawlessly, and ensure every event delivers commercial, brand, and community impact for Fora’s advisors and our global travel partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Strategy & Execution: Own the strategic direction and execution of Fora’s conferences and community events, ensuring every program advances advisor development, builds community, strengthens partner relationships, and aligns with broader company objectives.
  • Program Design & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end creation and production of event programs—from programming and large-scale production to logistics, communications, and reporting—to deliver high-impact experiences.
  • P&L Ownership: Own the full Conferences & Community Events budget, including annual forecasting, cost planning, revenue generation, and post-event reconciliation, maintaining rigorous financial tracking and accountability.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish clear success metrics, evaluate performance across events, and iterate on the event portfolio to enhance advisor value and amplify Fora’s brand presence.
  • Attendee Experience Management: Oversee all attendee-facing operational systems—including ticketing, invoicing, event pages, and communications flows—to ensure a frictionless and consistent experience.
  • Partner Engagement: Shape the partner and sponsorship strategy for our large-scale events, collaborating with the Partners Team to design opportunities that provide measurable value and drive revenue.
  • Insights & Optimization: Work with the Data Team to analyze engagement and satisfaction metrics, transforming insights into continuous improvements in programming and attendee journeys.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a growing team responsible for delivering high-quality, large-scale event programs, providing structure, guidance, and support.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Brand, Training, Communications, Partners, and Advisor Segment Owners to align on event priorities, program goals, and resource needs for seamless execution.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in strategic event program development and hands-on execution of large-scale conferences or networking events (500–1,000+ attendees).
  • 2–3 years of experience designing community-driven events with long-term value and diverse stakeholder needs in mind.
  • Experience building or scaling networking-focused programs, including facilitated or speed-networking formats with high volumes of 1:1 or small-group meetings (a strong plus).
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams through complex program execution.
  • Experience overseeing end-to-end P&L management for seven-figure budgets, including forecasting and tracking of expenses and revenue.
  • Strong knowledge of event technology and ticketing platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo, Splash, etc).
  • Excellent communicator who drives cross-functional alignment with clarity and accountability.
  • Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Deep understanding of the commercial, brand, and community impact of well-executed events.
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate; must be authorized to work in the US.
