The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Change Performance Management to join the central Transformation team at Aviva Canada. In this role, you will leverage enterprise-wide data to collect, consolidate, and analyze key financial and non-financial information to generate insights into the current and future health of the Change Portfolio. The role plays a critical part in driving strategic and financial planning, ensuring value realization, and aligning transformation investments with organizational objectives and operational excellence outcomes.
What you’ll do:
Analyze and interpret portfolio, financial, and operational data to generate insights into portfolio performance (e.g., trends, risks, value realization, cost drivers, and benefits), with clear recommendations on courses of action
Provide financial oversight and performance tracking for change initiatives, including cost forecasting, variance analysis, and investment trade-off support
Support portfolio‑level resource management by tracking capacity, demand, and utilization across initiatives, and highlighting constraints, trade-offs, and optimization opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards and executive reporting, including financial and value-based views, to communicate portfolio performance and outcomes to senior leadership
Provide strategic and financially grounded recommendations to support decision-making and optimize portfolio investment and execution
Facilitate strategic and investment planning discussions to align the Change Portfolio with organizational strategy, financial objectives, and operational improvement goals
Consolidate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive view of the Change Portfolio, including financials, delivery, and benefits; drive improvements in data quality, automation, and robustness
Collaborate with project teams, finance partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting
Monitor and report on the progress, financial performance, and benefits realization of strategic initiatives and transformation programs
Ensure the Change Portfolio is managed in accordance with governance standards, financial controls, portfolio management best practices, and operational excellence principles
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA/CA designation strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience in financial management, performance management, or investment governance within large-scale transformation environments
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights
Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives, including value tracking, benefits realization, and cost management
Experience with resource and capacity management in portfolio or transformation environments, including demand planning, prioritization, and resource trade-off analysis
Proven understanding of operational excellence concepts (e.g., efficiency, effectiveness, continuous improvement) and how to measure outcomes at a portfolio level
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
Knowledge of portfolio management frameworks, governance, and change delivery methodologies
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and stakeholder management skills
Project and portfolio performance management experience in complex, cross-functional environments
What you’ll get:
The salary band for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
