Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our Product HW design team, working on advanced networking systems where signal integrity, power integrity, and system‑level performance are critical.
This role is intended for highly experienced engineers (12–16 years) who own complete hardware designs end‑to‑end, lead critical technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and see their work shipped at global scale. You will operate with significant autonomy within an established system architecture and serve as a key technical contributor within the hardware organization.

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a key technical leadership role within a highly experienced R&D organization, contributing across the entire hardware development lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Lead and own complex hardware designs end‑to‑end, including: Functional specifications, Component selection, Schematic capture, participate architecture decision making, Hardware bring‑up, debug, and validation
- Drive high‑speed digital design decisions, addressing: Signal integrity and channel performance, Power distribution and sequencing, Timing, design margins, reliability, trade‑off decisions.
- Serve as the technical owner for complete boards or major subsystems within networking products.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional and multi‑site teams—including PCB layout, SI/PI, validation, mechanical, thermal, EMC, manufacturing, firmware, and software—to deliver production‑ready designs.
- Influence design feasibility, COGS, margins, and long‑term reliability through upfront analysis and hands‑on lab validation.
- Perform deep root‑cause analysis and empirical testing on complex hardware and system‑level issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Contribute to and help drive design methodologies, best practices, and engineering standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, thorough design reviews, and coaching.
What You Need to Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 12–16 years of experience in complex hardware and system‑level design, with products shipped to production.
Technical Expertise
- Proven ownership of high‑speed board‑level hardware designs.
- Deep understanding of: Signal integrity, Power distribution networks, System level mechanical - thermal considerations
- Strong experience with networking hardware platforms, such as switches, routers, or network appliances.
- Proficiency using Cadence PCB design tools (Concept / OrCAD, Allegro).
- Strong working knowledge of common interfaces and protocols, including: DDR (DDR4 / DDR5), PCIe, USB, SPI, I²C, UART, SGMII, XAUI
- Experience with Ethernet PHY, MDI, and switching designs, including: Gigabit, Multi‑Gig, and 10GBASE‑T
- Solid understanding of SerDes technologies, including: NRZ (10G, 25G), PAM4 (50G / 100G)
- Experience with Power over Ethernet (PoE) technologies (PSE/PD, PoE+/++) is desirable.
- Experience integrating CPU subsystems (ARM, Intel x86, AMD x86).
- Working knowledge of bootloaders, BIOS, and Linux/OS environments.
Lab & Debug Skills
- Hands‑on expertise using lab equipment such as: High‑bandwidth real‑time and TDR oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, JTAG tools, Spectrum analyzers, BERTs, or DCA etc.
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex board‑ and system‑level failures.

- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working across global, cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to make sound, autonomous technical decisions in ambiguous and complex situations.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to: Present design proposals and trade‑offs, Explain complex technical topics, Influence design decisions without formal authority
