About the Role:

We’re looking for a Sr. Global Benefits Specialist to join our HR Operations team. In this role, you’ll support the administration of global benefits, leave programs, and immigration matters, ensuring a seamless employee experience across the USA, Canada, and India. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and a strong individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of key HR operations processes, work cross-functionally, and drive impact at scale.

What You’ll Do:

Benefits Administration:

  • Primarily responsible for the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits in the USA, Canada, and India

  • Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations

  • Liaise with insurance brokers, carriers, and retirement plan vendors to troubleshoot enrollment and coverage issues

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed

  • Manage the company retirement plans in USA, Canada and India

  • Partner with external 401k auditor to drive compliance with plan requirements and successful completion of annual audit

  • Lead the benefits open enrollment processes

  • Facilitate a company-wide wellness program

  • Ensure COBRA events are triggered and managed as designed

  • Own completion of ERISA compliance reporting requirements

  • Administer and troubleshoot FSA accounts access and funding

  • Reconcile benefit invoices and submit them for payment

Leave Administration:

  • Collect documentation for federally and state-mandated leaves in the USA, Canada, and India and present to the HR Manager for review and approval

  • Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding leave options

  • Track leave balances

  • Control system access during leave periods

  • Coordinate communications with employees on leave regarding their return

HR Operations Support:

  • Support HR Operations team members with miscellaneous needs such as employment verifications, report requests, etc.

  • Serve as backup for regulatory reporting, troubleshooting HRIS issues, employee onboarding and offboarding, and background check processing

Work Visa Sponsorships:

  • Liaise between our immigration attorney and internal stakeholders on completing visa renewals and green card applications;

  • Monitor timelines, review drafts of documents and procure required signatures to ensure visa processes are moving smoothly and swiftly

Learning Management:

  • Conduct new hire orientations in USA, Canada and India

  • Prepare “how to” tutorials (Loom, PDF) detailing every day HR functions for employees (how to enter my performance review, how to approve my team’s time off etc);

  • Administer and promote a learning management system to enhance the skillset base across the organization;

  • Facilitate registrations for management approved trainings if needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail

  • Proven ability to own processes end-to-end and execute independently

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work across global teams

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS, benefits platforms, LMS tools), including experience with Rippling preferred

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, benefits, or leave administration

  • Experience supporting global teams (USA, Canada, India) is a must
