Senior Environmental Engineer 1

We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer 1 to work in a technical support role assisting our Seattle and Pacific Northwest remediation projects and clients with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is a full-time position located in our Seattle, WA office. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES In this position, you will: Prepare and/or review written communications and technical deliverables. Demonstrate and apply technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standard of practice to assigned tasks. Leverage understanding of technical scopes of work for assigned work and their alignment with overall project objectives to deliver quality assignments. Coach, mentor, and direct junior staff to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, including field activities and preparation of technical reports and deliverables, while facilitating knowledge transfer for team development. Use developing skills to be visible in your discipline by giving internal technical presentations and/or conference presentations and attending external networking events. Lead field programs, construction, and remedial system operation, maintenance, and monitoring tasks. Lead environmental data and technical evaluation and reporting tasks. Lead remedial action development, feasibility studies, cost estimating and permitting tasks. Plan and perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols. Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum Skills and Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. 6+ years of related environmental field and consulting experience in the Pacific northwest. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information. Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership. Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software. Experience with soil, groundwater, and air treatment technologies. Working knowledge of regulatory framework that is pertinent to the work. Preferred Skills: Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field preferred. Have WA professional registration PE – or can get it within 12 months of hire Design, construction, and operation, maintenance, and monitoring experience with environmental remediation projects. Association with professional organizations in field of specialty. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates. The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $95,000 - $120,000 annually . Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
