Your Opportunity

Stantec’s South Carolina transportation practice is looking for an experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team. You will join a full services Stantec delivery team that is successfully delivering quality plans for SCDOT, local governments, and private developers.

You will collaborate with Stantec’s Roadway Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Environmental Scientists on a variety of hydrologic / hydraulic studies and drainage improvements. This includes both transportation improvement projects with longitudinal drainage systems, bridges, and culverts, and dedicated drainage improvement projects such as neighborhood drainage improvements and culvert replacements.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze hydrologic / hydraulic stormwater conditions.
  • Design of stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open channel conveyance, culvert analysis, bridge hydraulics and floodplain compensation.
  • Oversee production of drainage improvement plans.
  • Compilation of permits and reports for approval by regulating agencies.
  • Establish and track project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide guidance to other engineers with less experience.
  • Provide direction and coordinate staff necessary to complete assignments.
  • Assist with preparation and / or review of proposals.
