Team Description
The Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) team at Visa drives growth by managing payment flows and solutions across four segments: Visa Commercial Solutions, Visa Government Solutions, Money Movement Solutions (including, Visa Direct, Currencycloud and B2B Connect), and Visa Cross-Border Solutions.
Currencycloud was founded in 2012 and was acquired by Visa in 2021, with 130+ FI and Fintech clients across 15+ markets in APAC, making up a core component of the Money Movement Solutions revenue and growth in the region.
The Currencycloud team is responsible for leading all Currencycloud initiatives with clients across APAC, focusing on innovation in global money movement including collections, FX and payment solutions for financial institutions, fintechs, enablers, remitters, and FX businesses across the region. The team collaborates closely with product, sales, and country leadership to capture opportunities and deliver market-relevant money movement solutions.
What a Senior Director, Currency Cloud Head Does at Visa:
As the Currencycloud AP Head AP, you will set the vision and drive the long‑term growth agenda for Currencycloud’s money movement platform. As a core member of the Visa Direct leadership team, you will partner with the Visa Direct Leadership stakeholders across Product, Strategy, Sales, Solutioning, Client Services, Risk, Compliance, etc. to shape multi‑year strategies and execution plans. You will lead the Currencycloud AP commercial team, develop high-impact sales‑initiatives, forge market-expanding partnerships, guide competitive strategy, and drive sales enablement in region with the support of the regional teams, positioning Visa to win across domestic and cross border commercial payment flows multi-year collections and payment mandates leveraging Currency Cloud’s licensed collections, FX and payout capabilities.
- Define the multi‑year strategy and operating model for Currencycloud, translate vision into integrated roadmaps, OKRs, and resourcing plans.
- Drive thought leadership, sales enablement support to AP clusters, identify and drive adoption of new use cases / opportunities. Assess unit economics, pricing, and ROI, recommend go/no‑go decisions
- Work closely with global strategy, legal, compliance to drive licensing and market expansion plans from concept through launch and scale, ensuring alignment, clear milestones, and outcome-based metrics.
- Formulate and execute short- and long-term Visa Direct strategies for Currencycloud, aligned with CMS leadership priorities.
- Lead the sales team to identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships with Visa Direct partners across Fintechs and Banks to expand use cases, distribution, and revenue.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across regional and global CMS, Products, Product, Strategy, Sales, Solutioning and supporting functions
- Lead the Account Management team to deliver growth in Revenue through stakeholder management, strategic planning, account development plans and quarterly business reviews to ensure clients, expand & grow, adopt new product, and renew partnerships.
- Represent Currencycloud and Visa Direct with major clients and at industry forums, evangelize our value proposition, gather market feedback, and strengthen our brand presence.
- Establish sales management practices across new business and install base, including CRM management, portfolio governance, performance dashboards, and post‑launch reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing, diverse strategy team, set clear objectives and create pathways for development and mobility.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

- Minimum15+ years of experience in top-tier financial institutions, payments networks, or financial services.
- Strong background in SaaS sales, transaction banking, cash management, global money movements, and remittance.
- Deep understanding of fintech, banking landscape and payment systems in AP, including regulatory dynamics and digital innovation trends
- Expertise in B2B payment trends, regulatory environments and market gaps in AP
- Excellent business acumen in P&L management, finance, capital markets, and economics.
- Proven ability to formulate and execute market-specific strategies.
- Successful track record in stakeholder management and client engagement.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams, with a commitment to talent development and change leadership
- Knowledge of product management, data-driven insights, and finance.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficient English communication skills required; additional regional languages are a plus.
