We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director to lead our Global Engineering Business Services (GEBS) in India. You will be responsible for creating a world-class service delivery operation covering administrative, operational, technical, and information disciplines. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in managing large teams, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the global business landscape. The Senior Director must be capable of navigating a matrix leadership structure with multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across various functions and regions.
The organization to be managed consists of approximately 2,000 employees distributed across different campuses in India (Bengaluru, Pune, Noida) as well as satellite hubs in Bogota (Colombia), Monterrey (Mexico), and Katowice (Poland). The role will include 4 director-level direct reports. The Senior Director will have overall financial budget responsibility of $30 million.
 
You will report to the Vice President, Lifecycle Services Operations and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for the GCC, aligning with the overall business objectives and goals.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the GCC, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with global clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Financial Management: Manage the budget and financial performance of the GCC, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and manage risks effectively.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Education: Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Management.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • An MBA is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a global capability centre or similar environment.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations. Proven record of developing leadership.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the global business landscape and the specific challenges and opportunities of operating in India.
  • Temperament: The ideal candidate should possess a high level of emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability. They should be able to handle high-pressure situations with composure and maintain a positive attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders are essential.
