Senior Director, Account Executive
The Senior Director, US Consumer Fintech Account Management, will engage internal and external partners to drive revenue and ensure that priority client deals are recognized, implemented, and converted into revenue. This leader owns relationships with a small portfolio of top-tier fintech partners, spanning remittance platforms to international neobanks, to deliver value for the companies, their consumers, and Visa. A strong grasp of the evolving consumer finance landscape, including user behaviors, technology trends, frameworks for money movement, and transaction environments will be critical.
This is a matrixed, cross-functional role, so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are a must. The team interfaces with specialized product groups, money movement sales, rules committees, client consulting, marketing and corporate communications, legal, and finance to coordinate toward ambitious objectives. This role sits on the US Consumer Fintech Partnerships team and frequently engages the Fintech Leadership team, as well as senior leaders across Global Product, Partnerships, and other functions. This is an individual contributor role today with the possibility of growing into leading and managing multiple people in the future, depending upon the revenue growth and success of the portfolio.
This role will manage an existing, high potential portfolio of clients across Consumer verticals and specialized use cases, including international neo-banking, remittance, and other forms of digital banking and embedded finance.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Set the vision and implement strategic sales plans across the Consumer Fintech team, develop and deliver on OKRs (objectives and key results), including a sales revenue target.
- As central player in the Visa-fintech relationship, further entrench the strategic partnerships with a set of established fintechs, as well as a few emerging digital challengers, typically with international presence and cross-border features, to drive long‑term partner initiatives.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on consumer issuing, supporting the sales of money movement agreements and Value-Added-Services, finding opportunities to improve the performance of existing and new programs by promoting Visa’s offerings for fintechs.
- Partner with a portfolio of clients to provide payment solutions that meet the needs of consumers, especially those interested in multi-currency holdings or remitting money from the US abroad.
- The Sr. Director is responsible for developing commercial proposals on renewals, extensions, and net new business opportunities with these partners, often in partnership with other specialists and always in partnership with key stakeholders such as Finance, Legal, Pricing, and Compliance business partners.
- Prioritize effectively to deliver on OKRs and revenue while building strong cross‑functional partnerships, fostering existing client relationships, and identifying additional opportunities to expand current partnerships.
- Negotiate deals and renewals, and respond to RFPs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize value for both Visa and the client.
- Be a role model and mentor talent to produce strong team outcomes.
