We’re looking for a Senior Courier to lead, support and inspire a loop of couriers within our Service Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your people management skills while continuing to play a hands‑on role in our day‑to‑day operations.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Courier, you’ll take on a supervisory role with responsibility for managing and leading a loop of couriers to ensure all daily delivery and collection activities are completed to DHL standards. Your role will be varied, fast‑paced and highly visible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team of couriers to achieve productivity, GSOP and service KPIs
- Conducting regular one‑to‑ones, performance dialogues and annual appraisals
- Monitoring performance, coaching to address underperformance, and supporting improvement plans where needed
- Covering courier routes during planned and unplanned absences to maintain service levels
- Supporting Operations Managers and covering in their absence when required
- Ensuring compliance with safety, security, customs and road transport regulations
- Maintaining a high‑quality DHL image at all times (uniform, vehicle standards and customer interaction)
- Delivering daily briefs and debriefs and ensuring your team is up to date with communications and processes

Experience & qualifications:
- Experience in a courier role (essential)
- Supervisory or people management experience (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
