Senior Consultant - Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows) and Snowflake.

• Lead the migration and modernization of legacy data warehouses into a unified lakehouse architecture.

• Implement data modeling best practices including star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, and data vault when needed.

• Optimize Databricks clusters, Snowflake warehouses, and storage for performance and cost (auto-suspend, query acceleration, clustering keys, etc.).

• Build and orchestrate pipelines with tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Airflow, or Databricks Workflows.

• Implement CI/CD for data assets (GitOps, testing, schema evolution, monitoring).

• Partner with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clean, trusted datasets.

• Enforce data governance, security (RBAC, dynamic masking, encryption), and compliance standards.

• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term remediation.
