Confirmations Senior Analyst- Japanese Speaking
The role holder is to drive overall consistency at a global level while still allowing for regional variation that may be required due to specific country laws or regional specific industry practice.
In this role You will (be):
Accountable for the accurate preparation of confirmations for deals.
Accountable for ensuring contracts result in minimum overall exposure for Trading & Shipping and that there is a match between our confirmations and our trade capture system and 3rd party confirmations.
Accountable for checking and confirming the accuracy of third party and/or broker confirmations of trades, in a timely manner.
Timely response or escalation of issues or concerns related to compliance, commercial or Regulatory exposure.
In conjunction with Team Lead, accountable for the provision of accurate and timely Key Performance Indicator measures.
Provide guidance to colleagues, managing priorities and resource requirements
Handle complex cases individually
Understands the importance of controls and the obligation to report control deficiencies such as fraud, potential for failure and failure of internal controls relevant to the Control Process.
Understand the role risk profile and, in conjunction with the Confirmations Team Lead, identify and mitigate operational risk issues. Gain an awareness of the causes of risk in each function through the deal life cycle.
Take active part in any Confirmations related cross functional projects.
Liaise with other teams to ensure smooth operations; develop and maintain robust Front Office and collaborator relationship
Manage the documentation of business processes which meet the requirements of GBS in support of the standardisation and simplification of the Confirmations process models applied to support the Trading & Shipping business.
Handle deviations and exceptions and raise any significant control breakdown.
Participate in and manage ad hoc projects as required
Ensure that all WDesk sub-process control requirements are met.
What You will need to be successful:
Working proficiency in English
Good technical skills (MS Office)
Interest in standard financial trading instruments
Ability to be accurate with good attention to detail
Ability to prioritize work and be organized, to multi-task, to work under pressure and comply with strict SLA’s
Ability to understand business drivers and how Confirmation supports delivery of the business strategy
Ability to understand the flow of data between systems and how changes may impact the business
Strong stakeholder management/customer service capabilities.
Proven experience in identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Self-confident appearance in relations to the internal contacts
