Senior Commercial Analyst
About The Role As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will support and lead key commercial performance initiatives across Seequent. You’ll work closely with the senior management team and the Director, Global Commercial Operations to analyse business performance, evaluate and improve commercial models, and provide and present insights that influence strategic and operational decision ‑ making. Key day to day tasks might typically include: Analyse business performance across financial, operational, and commercial areas by sourcing, validating, and interpreting data from internal systems. Maintain and update reporting, clearly identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to translate to, and support informed decision ‑ making. Lead business improvement projects by defining objectives, forming hypotheses, and generating insights from complex or multi ‑ source datasets. Develop, recommend, and track KPIs to measure the impact of business changes and ensure continuous improvement. Review and enhance Seequent’s commercial models—including pricing, packaging, product standardisation and new model development (e.g., cloud)—to maintain and support growth. Assess the commercial and revenue impact of changes, collaborating with Product, Revenue, Legal, and cross ‑ functional teams to support implementation. Lead and conduct competitor and market research on software commercial models, ensuring recommendations align with industry trends and stakeholder consensus across Seequent and Bentley Systems. To be considered for the role, you will have the following: Degree or qualification in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. 7+ years’ experience in commercial or financial analysis. Skilled in navigating complex data environments and leading multi ‑ stakeholder projects. Knowledge of software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, consumption). Experience with ERP and CRM systems. Location and additional information This role is office based, in Christchurch.
