Senior Channel Marketing Manager

The Senior Channel Marketing Manager will play a key role in optimizing marketing investment, implementing best practices, and integrating with marketing technology across Vanguard’s Financial Advisor Services division. This role will work closely with multiple stakeholders to execute marketing strategy across paid media channels in order to drive growth and value.  Focus areas include implementing media strategy, budgeting, executing, reporting, ongoing campaign optimization, and collaboration with other paid channel managers as well as internal and external partners.  They will play a critical role in delivering on the business KPIs for marketing and helping improve the ROI on Vanguard’s paid media investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Individually leads the creation and execution of b2b, Financial Advisor focused media advertising strategies

  • Creates channel marketing plans by translating business objectives into defined channel marketing goals, strategies, and tactics

  • Manages internal and external partners to ensure successful campaign execution, analysis and performance

  • Transforms campaign metrics and market research into actionable media tactics and strategies

  • Leads the development and implementation of campaign measurement plans to track, report on, and optimize results

  • Accountable for on-time, on-budget campaigns, and quality assurance of ad placements

  • Develops positive working relationships within the department, across the company, and with our agency partners and media vendors

  • Helps lead internal meetings with media and marketing teams to share campaign strategies, performance and guide prioritization

  • Develops others through education and collaboration on media best practices

  • Stay apprised of industry standards, new media programs/trends, and competitive landscape

  • Ensure media campaigns adhere to compliance and legal standards working closely with these key business functions to monitor and approve all communications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five years of paid media management required

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Strong direct paid media channel management experience required

  • Sees bigger picture of media, understands broader digital advertising concepts and the industry landscape

  • Effective communicator, confident in ability to act as a decisionmaker for Paid Media and present confidently to Marketing leaders and business stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills including media performance evaluation and insight development

  • In depth understanding of media buying tools and common digital platforms (Google, Adobe, Meta, DSPs, Doubleclick).

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint; Excel and Word

  • Self-motivated; excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication; problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking capabilities a must

  • Strict attention to detail, work quality, and deadlines

  • Experience in financial services vertical, or regulated industries, a plus
