Senior Associate, US and CA Equity Settlements

What is the opportunity?

The role is within Global Markets Transaction Services and supports RBC Europe Limited and RBC Capital Markets (Europe) GmbH, however some specific roles may support other RBC entities or Branches. The role is supports post trade deal processing for RBC Capital Markets securities trading businesses and its clients. The role ensures that trades are captured, matched for settlement and reconciled as well as covering other post trade processes.

Working Hours: London Hours (4PM-1AM/5PM-2AM)

What will you do?

• Manage and monitor settlement of the Equity business' trading in the North American markets (DTC and CDS) by using Arrow, ADP CA, internal reporting.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth settlement and fail management.
• Manage and monitor buy-in risk and escalate when necessary.
• Produce daily fail reporting.
• Liaise with Corporate Actions Team when necessary.
• Complete reports and reconciliations.
• Point of contact for Clients and continue to develop and enhance excellent Client Service
• Resolve more complex queries and escalate when necessary
• Assist colleagues with queries to ensure smooth running of daily roles and processes
• Oversee work of other team members and be available for escalation to ensure smooth running of daily roles and processes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Proven experience within Settlements, within an operations environment.
• Settlement experience in DTC and CDS markets.
• Strong knowledge Equity products and processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective Communicator, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Arrow and ADP Broadridge systems would be advantageous.
