We are looking for a Senior Associate (preferably with 5+ PQE) to join our Brisbane Corporate/M&A team, working directly with Partner Franki Ganter and supporting our other national Corporate/M&A Partners, as we continue to grow the practice nationally.
This role will suit a Senior Associate who thrives in a high-performing environment and has the drive and enthusiasm to contribute to supporting and building our growing practice. You will work on quality transactions and advisory matters with genuine responsibility, direct client contact and close collaboration with Partners. You will be supported by a national team including dedicated practice assistants and a business development team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- preferably, at least 5 years’ experience in a well-regarded corporate practice, with involvement across private and public M&A and equity capital markets transactions and corporate advisory work
- a strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce high-quality work product
- a genuine interest in building and maintaining lasting client relationships and mentoring the junior members of the team
- excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and workstreams
- an ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
Your role
You will advise domestic and international clients, including listed entities, financial sponsors and large private corporates operating in a range of sectors, including energy/renewables, mining, infrastructure, transport and agriculture. Your work will span transaction execution and strategic advisory matters, including corporate governance and compliance with the ASX Listing Rules, the Corporations Act and foreign investment regulation.
