Senior Analyst, Account Management

Overview
The Senior Analyst, Account Management will join the Financial Institutions team for Mastercard Netherlands. This team focuses on supporting and growing relationships with financial institutions across the Netherlands.

In this role, you will work closely with senior colleagues to support client relationships and help deliver shared goals. You will gain exposure to the financial services and payments landscape while developing commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. You will also contribute to operational excellence across the team.

We are looking for someone who is curious, motivated, and eager to learn. A collaborative mindset and willingness to grow are valued more than having all the answers from day one.

This role reports to the Vice President, Head of Financial Institutions, and collaborates with local and regional product, marketing, finance, legal, franchise, and operations teams.

Role Responsibilities
• Client Ownership: Manage and support strategic client relationships and contribute to account planning. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by acting as a proactive and responsive partner. Help position Mastercard as a strategic advisor.
• Commercial Contribution & Growth: Identify and support opportunities to grow Mastercard’s revenue and strengthen client relationships. Develop an understanding of client priorities and challenges, aligning Mastercard’s capabilities to evolving market needs. Contribute to innovative solutions that enhance client competitiveness.
• Operational Excellence: Support day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement and team effectiveness.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to account planning and pipeline development. Support the translation of Mastercard’s global and local priorities into client-focused strategies that build long-term value.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (product, marketing, finance, franchise, legal, operations) to help deliver scalable, tailored solutions aligned with client objectives.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Support adherence to Mastercard rules and applicable regulations. Stay informed on regulatory developments impacting Mastercard and its clients.

About You / Experience
• Relevant experience in account management, business development, consulting, or a similar client-facing role. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior professionals.
• Understanding of the financial services landscape is beneficial, along with an interest in banking, payments, and regulatory developments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to strategic thinking.
• Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
• Demonstrates accountability, ethical judgment, and professionalism.
