The Role Reporting to the Technical Sales Lead, C E, we are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist, Geotechnical Engineer to join our Latin America team. This office-based role can be located in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Santiago, or Lima. The Technical Sales Specialist will provide exceptional technical support and guidance throughout all stages of customer interaction, from pre-purchase evaluations to supporting experienced users of Seequent solutions. You will focus on geotechnical software, including GeoStudio Ultimate 2D/3D, PLAXIS Ultimate 2D/3D, and, in different capacities, Seequent Central, OpenGround, and Leapfrog Works. In this role, you will support the local sales team with product demonstrations, provide training, assist with project implementation, and act as a regional technical advocate. Success is measured by revenue targets, high user adoption, positive customer feedback, and effective resolution of technical issues. In this role, you will have the opportunity to Provide technical support for Seequent solutions and partner software. Assist customers during trial and post-purchase phases to maximize the value of our solutions. Engage with users via in-person, telephone, or email interactions to resolve technical issues. Proactively contact users to conduct health checks and identify support, training, or sales opportunities. Act as a regional technical advocate for Seequent’s geotechnical portfolio. Support the sales team with product demonstrations, understanding customer needs, and implementation planning. Identify new influencers and decision-makers within customer organizations. Provide feedback to development teams to improve product functionality. Deliver training and integrate Seequent solutions into customer workflows. Mentor the technical solutions team to build confidence in training and support. Collaborate with marketing to represent geotechnical solutions in regional campaigns and events. Monitor customer satisfaction and support product upgrades, new releases, and new products. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering or related disciplines. Experience with geotechnical software solutions, ideally including Seequent’s GeoStudio and PLAXIS. Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish and confident in English (oral and written). Understanding of how cultural differences influence business relationships. Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain sustainable relationships. Proven team player with conflict management skills. Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Attributes Customer-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented.
