About the Team/Role
Software Development Engineers [Integrated Engineers] are responsible for development of computer programming systems and applications including the design, coding, testing and deployment of products and solutions to meet firm obligations. The Software Development Engineering focus specializes in the design, development and testing of software systems for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. conducts, and evaluates application audits and testing processes and ensures the applications or products meet those defined quality standards. May also create documentation so that future managers and engineers know how to solve potential issues. In addition to software design and development skill sets, employees in these roles should have in-depth knowledge of automated testing tools and traditional quality assurance approaches.
How you’ll make an impact
Focus specializes in the development, deployment and maintenance of applications and computing solutions that can be hosted and operated entirely on web based platforms. Plans, designs, develops, tests and troubleshoots cloud based application, works across the complete cloud stack i.e. Software as a Service (SaaS), and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) leveraging suites like Salesforce.com, cloud platform, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Azure, Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services/EC2. Interacts with project managers to drive an optimized solution within known constraints. The job also requires in-depth understanding of cloud storage services such as EBS, Amazon S3, EFS etc. Involves integration of cloud applications and require knowledge of APIs, pre-scripting, post-scripting and integration testing.
Experience you’ll bring
Focus specializes in the development of software applications for proprietary/ licensable mobile devices and mobile platforms. Plans, designs, develops and tests applications for Android, iOS and other mobile platforms. Collaborates with analysts, other developers and project managers to determine the requirements for custom mobile applications, the mobile program's appearance, the functions that the application must perform and the integration requirements. Designs and codes the application using knowledge of the mobile platform, cross-platform development tools and relevant software languages. May also work on mobile security areas such as mobile data management required for the application. During these processes, modifications may be made until the application functions as planned. Provides support for released applications by fixing bugs and uploading upgraded versions. Requires expert knowledge of integrated development platforms such as Xamarin, Kony, Appcelerator, EMM/MDM, iOS SDK, Android SDK etc.
Senior Professional role typically have 5 - 10 years of related experience.
