About the Team
The Antibody Team is involved in engineering and development of antibodies, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity. The core activities of team include design, development, purification, conjugation and testing of antibodies in a variety of immunoassay applications using groundbreaking tools and technologies. The goal of the program is recombinant antibody development and creation of product specific information to promote research use.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute protein and molecular biology assays to support antibody development and validation programs.
- Meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals.
- Timely record keeping of results into data sheets and laboratory note-books.
- Attention to detail and adherence to schedules.
- Communicate results clearly—in team meetings, written reports, and data presentations.
- Regular mining of literature and keeping oneself up to date with developments in field of antibody development.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose practical solutions to keep projects moving.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant life sciences discipline (protein biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or a related field) at one of the following levels:
- PhD (graduated within the last one year)
- Master's degree with 1-3 years of relevant research experience
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience in molecular biology, which could include nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and cloning.
- Experience with bioinformatics such as BLAST, pairwise and multiple sequence analysis, design and construction of expression vectors, codon optimization, PCR primer design.
- Experience with molecular biology software such as Snapgene, CLC Workbench or Geneious. Basic knowledge of computational biology, biological databases, or scripting is a plus.
- Prior experience in single cell molecular biology workflows, next generation sequencing and/or display technologies is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in protein purification, immunoassays such as ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry or Flow cytometry, and cell culture techniques. Prior experience with protein or antibody conjugation will be a plus.
- Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is advantageous.
- Project or work experience such as publications, project reports or thesis work.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel and strong statistical knowledge or familiarity with statistical software such as Graphpad Prism.
- Proficiency in Python, R, bioinformatics/computational biology and statistical tools like Pymol, Chimera, BLAST, Alphafold, ggplot etc. Proficiency in deep learning models and/or knowledge of large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and experience in implementing these tools to biological questions is highly desirable.
- Experience with website and/or database design using various platforms such as HTML, JavaScript, ShinyR, PowerApps etc would be advantageous.
