Job Description Job Summary: We are currently accepting applications for the Joe V's Smart Shop School of Retail Leadership (SORL) Program, which develops individuals to become Top Store Team Leaders. Hands-on management experience in all departments, classroom training, project work and workshops are designed to enhance the level of skill and leadership required to become a successful Top Store Leader. Qualifications & Key Requirements: Work Experience: year of experience as a department manager - have a minimum of year of experience as a primary department manager - Current performance rating of meets - exceeds expectations - Exhibit a high level of achievement and performance in school and / - work - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrate a strong ownership mentality and pride in the work - Knows the business and demonstrates specialist and detailed technical expertise - Ability to achieve results with a passion for maximizing productivity, while driving down expense - Demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset with effective contingency planning - Ability to build and develop people and advance the capacity of others and teams - Ability to quickly adapt, anticipate and seek out better experiences in a cross-functional workplace - Education: a master's or - - Preferred - Licenses/Certifications: Successful completion of a background check - Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Function in a fast-paced retail environment which requires detailed work and precision Be exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment Lift and carry 40 - 60 pounds on a regular basis Stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overheard and side-to-side throughout shift Work with customers and be attentive to their needs, while maintaining composure in high-stress situations Work extended hours and varying work schedule as dictated by the business The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
