The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of medical procedures and providing direct patient support. This includes verifying clinical information, communicating pre-procedure instructions, and efficiently resolving patient inquiries, while maintaining confidentiality, quality, and compliance standards.
Schedule & Work Modality
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (COL)
• On-site position in Medellín, Colombia
• Semiannual increase in salary compensation
Requirements
• English proficiency (B2+)
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Scheduler or in Healthcare-related roles
• University degree or studies in the Healthcare field (preferred)
Responsibilities
• Coordinate medical procedure scheduling with patients, physicians, hospitals, and ambulatory centers
• Inform patients about pre-procedure preparation and send instructions on the same day
• Review and verify patient medical history, medications, prior procedures, and allergies
• Manage required medical authorizations (cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, etc.)
• Educate patients on anticoagulant suspension according to medical guidelines
• Complete and submit required forms to corresponding surgical centers
• Determine whether a pre-procedure visit is necessary
• Address patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including HIPAA, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
