Overview of the Role:

The Senior Procurement Analyst will collect and analyze relevant data to identify opportunities for cost reductions across spend categories to help drive effectiveness, continuous improvements, and create value throughout Saputo USA. This position will provide analysis and recommendations to help support the creation of purchasing category strategies and support the implementation of projects that help improve the overall effectiveness of our indirect spend. This person will be responsible for researching and evaluation complex data sets that will be used to create summary reports and presentations that will be communicated throughout the organization.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter: 

  • Create, analyze, and provide data analytics utilizing information from Ariba, SAP, and other internal programs to help support Company’s performance objectives.
  • Provide clear, concise, accurate data that provides a detailed overview of current category spend and overview. Must be able to summarize and interpret large volumes of data that can be shared across all levels of the organization. This information will be used to build the current program landscape, identify future category activities, and unrealized benefits such as cost efficiencies, risk mitigation, other key benefits.
  • Provides analytical and strategic support during category life-cycle process through development, implementation, and category maintenance. This information will help drive key decisions and monitor performance.
  • Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and develop a consolidated overview of the supplier proposals, assists with scoring supplier responses, and perform calculations on supplier cost and other category considerations.
  • Collect and analyze data on internal factors such as spend, internal business partner requirements, as well as external factors such as supplier performance, industry and market dynamics, and products/services trends to ensure category optimization.
  • Supports identification of future opportunities and actions for continuous improvement by means of analysis of supplier performance and internal KPI data, industry and market dynamics, and products/services trends. Must perform data analysis to support validation of potential opportunity value and prioritization. Develop and manage reports that audit supplier performance against KPIs .
  • Communicate, analyze, and maintain pricing spreadsheets.  Validate supplier pricing with appropriate Procurement category manager to ensure compliance within contract.
  • Support Procurement team with month-end reporting and ad hoc reports, as required.
  • Support contract compliance through SAP & Ariba by reviewing spend data to ensure compliance to Procurement negotiated contracts.
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to identify and articulate key business issues and opportunities that will support the organization’s objectives.

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or other quantitative/technical discipline. Minimum of 4 years’ experience. Candidate must have critical problem solving, fact based, and quantitative analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in PC and business software applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate analytic discussion and review of data findings and recommendations for the project.
  • Strong research and data-driven analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large sets of data efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong ability and willingness to work independently and collaboratively, with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Ariba system & SAP, would be considered as an asset.

Salary Range: $73,815- $96,885

salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, skills, and training.
