Sap Project Manager
Role & responsibilities
- Understand the customer's requirements, business processes and solution landscape.
- Create detailed project plans and execute them
- Understand SAP project methodology and premium engagements services and drive adoption
- Coordinate involvement of SAP consultants and support resources and lead them in project
- Properly make reports and escalation to management or executive level
- Manage project scope, resources, budget, schedule to ensure that the project team members are meeting the deadlines and following the guidelines.
- Should have strong critical-thinking capabilities to solve problems and think about wide-ranging issues and facilitate decisions.
- Should be able to direct, manage and motivate the project team in multi-vendor and multi country environment.
- Handle the escalations and conflict within the project team.
- Have good working experience in stakeholder management, change management, communication plan, risk and mitigation, implementation, and cutover plan.
- Prepare Project status updates based on the stakeholders, handle Steering Meetings, Phase exits and Project meetings.
Preferred candidate profile
- Overall 8-12 years of experience of which minimum 3 years should have been in project management
- Proven experience in leading SAP Implementation projects (should have handled at least 2 implementations end to end)
- MUST have strong Functional knowledge in any of the SAP Modules like FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM. EXCLUDE people with experience in ABAP, BASIS, BO, BW and HCM
- MUST have worked on SAP S/4 HANA and ECC
- Should have strong project management skills
- MUST have worked with MNCs/International clients as well
- Experience in Project Management Tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal & presentation skills
- Certifications like PMP/Agile/Scrum Master/Prince2 is preferred.
- Good leadership, inter-personal and motivational skills
- Experience in Cloud solutions
- MNC with Multi geography
- Activate Methodology experience
- Bachelors in engineering (preferably Computer Science) or equivalent
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge and experience of other agile, lean and DevOps approaches (e.g., XP, Kanban, TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, etc.)
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
