Role Overview
As an SAP CoE Business Analyst, Expert I, you are a senior functional expert within PPG’s global SAP landscape. You act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into scalable SAP solutions that support operational excellence, harmonization, and digital transformation.

You will work closely with global business teams, IT colleagues, and external partners to design, optimize, and support SAP processes across regions, ensuring solutions are aligned with PPG standards, best practices, and long‑term architectural vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) within one or more SAP functional domains (e.g. FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM).

  • Partner with business stakeholders to analyze, challenge, and translate business requirements into functional SAP designs.

  • Design end‑to‑end, global SAP solutions, balancing business needs with standardization and system sustainability.

  • Drive process harmonization and continuous improvement across regions and business units.

  • Lead and support SAP implementations, rollouts, enhancements, and upgrades, including S/4HANA initiatives.

  • Prepare functional specifications and work closely with developers on configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Support change management, user adoption, and training activities.

  • Act as escalation point for complex incidents and ensure root‑cause resolution.

  • Collaborate within the SAP CoE to contribute to roadmap development, innovation, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) as an SAP Business Analyst or Functional Consultant.

  • Deep hands‑on knowledge of at least one SAP functional module; cross‑module integration knowledge is a strong plus.

  • Proven experience in global SAP environments with standardized templates.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business processes into system solutions.

  • Experience working in a matrixed, international organization.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations or migrations.

  • SAP certification(s) in relevant functional areas.

  • Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or process industry environments.

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
