SAP BTP API & AI Integration Engineer

WE ARE META is seeking an SAP BTP API & AI Integration Engineer with experience in API design, backend development, and SAP backend ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in English (B2 or higher).

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience with API design and backend development, including REST, GraphQL, versioning strategies, Node.js, and SAP CAP services with CDS-based data modeling.
Knowledge of SAP backend ecosystem, including SAP CAP, SAP HANA Cloud, OData V4 services, BTP API Management, and SAP Integration Suite.
Experience with authentication and security mechanisms, including OAuth2, JWT, API keys, and SAP-specific authorization models.
Experience with MCP protocol implementation, including server setup, tool and resource integration, context management, and secure AI interactions with SAP data.
Knowledge of testing frameworks, API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger), database optimization, and event-driven architectures.
English level of B2 or higher
Availability for a hybrid work model, 1 time a week in the Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).
