As a global leader in technology and innovation, we're looking for a strong Senior Director of Acquisition Sales to lead our efforts in North America, enhancing our strategic footprint in mid market at Samsung Ads.
The Role:
This role is based in-office at Samsung Ads in New York City (1 PENN Plaza). This role is in-office 3 days per week, and going to 5 days per week starting Summer 2026, consistent with broader Samsung America policies. What You'll Do:
Own Acquisition and Growth Sales for Samsung Ads
- Serve as the senior leader and point of accountability for the Acquisition Sales Team.
- Partner closely with Sales leaders in LCS, Agency and Programmatic to move products from launch to always-on, must-buy offerings across enterprise and growth accounts
Drive Product Adoption and Product Revenue
- Lead a quota-carrying team of acquisition sellers with a clear mandate to accelerate adoption of priority products
- Refine and accelerate overall go-to-market by identifying and engaging the right customer stakeholders (brands and agencies), including non-traditional beyond core video and media teams
Translate Product Offerings into Customer Business Objectives
- Distill complex, technical, or emerging products into clear, compelling, value propositions for customers
- Support live customer pitches, helping sellers confidently position new solutions to new-to-Samsung stakeholders
Partner Cross-Functionally
- Work daily with Sales, Customer Success, GTM, Product Management, Product Strategy, Marketing, and other stakeholders
- Participate in senior-level discussions to provide informed recommendations on product direction, packaging, and deployment
Lead & Coach a High-Performance Specialist Team
- Manage and develop a team of 4-5 senior Product Sales Specialists
- Model hands-on selling and product storytelling
Required Qualifications:
- Quota-Carrying Product Sales Leadership: 12+ years of experience in advertising, media, programmatic, CTV/OTT sales roles, with significant time spent in quota- carrying, product- or solutions focused sales. Demonstrated ownership of revenue targets tied to specific products, solutions, or GTM initiatives.
- Prospecting & New Buyer Persona: Demonstrated ability to prospect and build relationships with new stakeholders, including opening doors to non-traditional buyers within existing or net-new customer organizations.
- Player-Coach Leadership: 8+ years of people management experience leading high-performance teams, with a demonstrated ability to coach while remaining close to the deal, model selling behavior, and guide specialists through live opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (product, marketing, business, media, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant Market Experience: Direct experience with leading CTV/OTT, media, performance marketing, programmatic or advertising technology platforms
- Familiarity with Samsung Ads products and industry offerings: Including but not limited to programmatic and direct offerings, device capabilities, and Samsung TV+
- Outcome-Driven Operator: Ability to balance process and documentation with a strong bias toward execution, market impact, and measurable product adoption.
- Highly Organized & Operationally Strong: Proven ability to manage priorities, teams, and execution across multiple products and stakeholders
- Excellent Communication & Storytelling: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex offerings into clear, compelling customer narratives
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (e.g. MBA, Media, etc)
Additional Information:
- Travel: This role may require occasional domestic or international travel (up to 15%) for internal and external meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $240,000 and $280,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
