The Sales Product Specialist plays a crucial role in driving the success of clinical trials through expert management of regulatory-compliant ancillary products and distribution plans. This client-facing position supports global clinical trial execution by combining technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strategic insight to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient solutions that meet customer needs.
A Day in the Life:
Develop and implement regulatory-compliant ancillary product solutions and global distribution strategies.
Collaborate with Business Development teams and clients to understand clinical trial requirements and translate them into actionable project workbooks.
Work cross-functionally with regulatory, distribution, Client Services, Project Management, Quotations, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment and execution.
Maintain product databases with accurate documentation, including manuals, regulatory files, and product specifications.
Support supplier relationships and provide technical product insights and training internally.
Participate in sales activities, product training, and marketing initiatives to enhance customer engagement and outcomes.
What to expect:
- Design and manage ancillary product selection and distribution plans for global clinical trials
- Engage with internal teams and clients to gather and translate project requirements
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory standards
- Utilize tools such as SalesForce.com, SharePoint, BusinessMap, and Microsoft Office
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through product alternatives and supply chain optimization
- Contribute to process improvements and tool enhancement projects
- Support sales and marketing initiatives with technical expertise
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product databases
Keys to Success:
Education
- BS/BA degree in Life Sciences or a strong healthcare-related background, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in laboratory, medical device supplies, or healthcare-related field.
- Alternatively, 5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills (French or Italian) are a plus.
