Sales Operations Analyst
Overview
IDEXX is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst to serve as an analytical and operational partner to our Sales team who will help them sell smarter and faster within the veterinary software market. This role is data-driven and rep-facing, focused on delivering the reporting, pricing guidance, and Deals Desk readiness coaching that enables our Sales organization to perform at scale across independent practices, multi-site groups, and corporate veterinary networks. This is an individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of analytics, sales process, and operational execution.
This position is expected to be onsite 8 days per month at the IDEXX Global Campus in Westbrook, ME.
What You'll Own
Analytics & Reporting
Build, maintain, and continuously improve sales reporting and dashboards that give Sales leadership and Sales Professionals clear visibility into pipeline health, performance trends, and attainment
Analyze sales data to identify patterns, surface insights, and make proactive recommendations that support territory performance and revenue growth
Serve as a go-to resource for ad hoc data requests from Sales Managers and Professionals with ability to translate raw data into actionable guidance
Maintain data integrity and accuracy across Salesforce and other revenue-facing platforms; partner with RevOps on data governance and hygiene standards
Pricing & Deal-Shaping Support
Coach Sales Professionals on Deal Desk guidelines, pricing policies, and discount thresholds so they can approach deal construction with confidence and clarity before engaging the formal Deal Desk process
Serve as a sounding board for Sales Professionals early in the deal cycle — reviewing proposed deal structures, identifying potential red flags, and helping them pressure-test their approach against current pricing guidelines
Help Sales Professionals understand deal economics and trade-offs so they can walk into Deal Desk conversations well-prepared, particularly for complex multi-site group or corporate consolidator opportunities
Monitor deal patterns and surface recurring questions or friction points to RevOps and Sales leadership, helping refine guidelines and improve rep readiness over time
Compensation Operations Support
Support the operational data needs that enable accurate and timely commission plan payouts including maintaining data feeds, validating inputs, and flagging discrepancies for resolution
Own SPF (Special Performance Fund) tracking, which includes maintaining eligibility records, submission logs, and payout data in coordination with Finance and Sales leadership
Serve as a resource for Sales Professionals seeking to understand their attainment data; escalate comp plan questions or disputes to the appropriate owner (comp plan design and administration sit outside this role)
Sales Process & Enablement Support
Support recurring sales team cadences (QBRs, Monthly Commercial Reviews, team meetings, etc.) with data preparation, reporting, and materials
Maintain and organize key sales resources including performance reports, pricing reference materials, and process documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline sales workflows and reduce friction for Sales Professionals; partner with RevOps to implement improvements
