The Sales Manager Nordics & Eastern Europe is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets across the Nordic and Eastern European markets. The role ensures a high level of customer service to distributors, dealers, and OEM partners, while actively developing market share through new customer acquisition and strengthening existing relationships. The Sales Manager plays a key role in implementing the commercial strategy within these regions, contributing to Lankhorst Taselaar’ s long-term growth in line with Brunswick’s strategic priorities. The role will be based in Heerenveen, with moderate travel across the regions.
Accountabilities:
- Contributes to the commercial strategy and regional sales plan for the Nordics & Eastern Europe in alignment with the overall Lankhorst Taselaar sales strategy.
- Develops and executes the annual sales budget for the Nordics & EE region, including forecasting, market projections, and profitability planning.
- Monitors monthly sales performance, identifies deviations, and initiates corrective actions to ensure alignment with company financial objectives.
- Develops appropriate control, performance measures and generates reports to assist in the accomplishment of the sales objectives. Provides comprehensive periodic reports to the general management.
- Directs the annual planning, expense and budgeting processes for the sales of the export markets. Monitors progress monthly and revises accordingly to support corporate sales and financial requirements and guidelines.
- Leads and manages Nordics & EE account managers and/or agents by implementing departmental objectives, working methods, processes and procedures that meet the strategic, competitive, internal and external needs of the Company.
- Manages key customer accounts and distributors, ensuring commercial excellence, high service levels, and long-term partnership development.
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities in both existing and new markets (Nordics and EE), with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth.
- Gathers and maintains competitive product pricing information from the Nordics & EE markets and develops and maintains regional market pricing models for complete portfolio of products. Alongside the P&A Pricing Specialist, establishes pricing strategies, recommended sales prices, discount structures.
- Approves proposed deviations from the set prices and discounts based on requests and recommendations of the P&A Pricing Specialist and the export sales team. Holds the accountability for entering price agreements per customers.
- Supports local sales representatives, agents, and internal customer service teams with commercial guidance, pricing structure, and customer communication.
- Collects, analyzes, and maintains competitive market data and pricing intelligence for all countries in scope; defines and maintains regional pricing strategies and discount policies.
- Provides monthly and quarterly sales performance reports, market analyses, and strategic recommendations to the Commercial Director and management team.
- Builds a culture of accountability and performance excellence within the sales organization, promoting collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, quality standards, ethical guidelines, and health, safety & environmental (HSE) practices.
- Strengthens collaboration with Brunswick Marine Europe (BME) and other Brunswick Business Groups (BBG) to identify and leverage cross-regional opportunities.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Bachelor or master’s degree with business or marketing orientation, or relevant experience in a similar role
- 5-year experience in sales management
- Experience with B2B sales of technical consumer goods
- Experience in the marine equipment industry is a plus
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and excellent on MS Excel
- English language (both written & verbal).Any other European language represents a good asset
- Good coordination skills
- Good numerical aptitude
