Position Summary
Responsible for prospecting and qualifying leads through outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups. Generate leads and opportunities for business consultants by collaborating with sales and marketing to develop business strategies and gain access to decision makers. Analyze the market to identify customer needs and challenges, assess interest in Vensure's solutions, and schedule initial appointments.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate new sales opportunities
• Build outbound campaigns to contact key decision makers and set meetings for business consultants
• Uncover, qualify, nurture, and develop the sales opportunity pipeline
• Identify alignment between prospect challenges and company capabilities, then hand off qualified opportunities
• Maintain engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications
• Segment prospects based on market and opportunity size
• Use consistent contact attempts via phone and email to convert suspects to prospects
• Partner with sales agents to fill their pipeline and develop personal skills
• Meet weekly activity metrics including dials, appointments, profiled accounts, and qualified opportunities logged in CRM
• Manage prospecting status
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong research skills to identify best-fit companies
• Proficient at making outbound calls and emails
• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Experience with corporate CRM tools
Education and Experience
• 6 months to 2 years of relevant business development experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
Physical and Environmental Conditions
• Primarily indoor office environment with moderate noise levels
• Frequently required to sit, occasionally stand and walk
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
• Frequent talking and hearing required
• Moderate concentration and memory demands
