The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly commercial and data-driven Sales Analyst for our Residential channel to join our Victoria team. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager - Residential, you will act as the analytical engine of our team.
With a primary focus on the Bunnings account (alongside secondary partners), this role is instrumental in identifying and capturing incremental sales opportunities. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable commercial strategies, optimizing inventory, and driving New Product Development (NPD) success.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Reporting & Analytics: Build, maintain, and distribute weekly performance scorecards and comprehensive trading decks for leadership review.
- Bunnings Connect Management: Lead the verification and analysis of Bunnings Connect reporting, monitoring missing ranges, distribution gaps, and DIFOT performance.
- Strategic Execution: Proactively analyze market trends to identify "overs and unders," providing recommendations to capitalize on high-performing areas and mitigate risks.
- Inventory & NPD Optimization: Monitor NPD execution against strategic plans, conduct post-launch ROI analysis, and drive national alignment for Demand & Replenishment inventory.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Provide data-backed insights to National Account Managers, State Leads, Field Operations, and BDMs to guide account strategy and field execution.
What we hope you bring to the table:
You are a natural problem-solver who can translate complex, raw data into clear, actionable commercial strategies and "tell a story" with the numbers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a Sales Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Category Management, or similar data-driven role.
- Experience in FMCG, hardware, consumer goods, or retail is highly desirable (previous experience with major "big box" retailers, specifically Bunnings, is a distinct advantage).
- Advanced Excel skills (including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data modeling).
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and data visualization to build automated dashboards and scorecards.
- Experience using CRM platforms and ERP systems for tracking inventory and sales data.
- Forward-thinking approach to technology, including the ability to leverage AI tools to drive efficiencies in data analysis and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with retailer data portals (Bunnings Connect is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of retail math and supply chain metrics (ROI, DIFOT, margin, conversion rates, inventory turn).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to confidently present insights to key stakeholders.
What's in it for you?
- Be part of a growing, innovative global company with strong leadership and a clear market strategy.
- Access a local and global network of resources, with heavy investment in your sales and product training.
- A collaborative team committed to helping you succeed, backed by a strong Employee Engagement & Wellness program.
