Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
Client:
- Develops client workplans and schedules associated project deliverables.
- Travels to client locations to gather and copy tax returns, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to use in the audit refund process.
- Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research.
- Assists with client billing and financial forecasting.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.
- Prepares and conducts client presentations.
Value:
- Manages complex customs and foreign trade tax projects, including audit defense, managed audits, managed compliance, reverse audits, and tax recovery.
- Negotiates tax resolutions with state agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance and six to eight years audit or tax related experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises employees in the Customs and Foreign Trade Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firms’ policies and applicable laws.
