ScopeDevelops, recommends, implements and manages the technical architecture (hardware, software, database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.Responsibilities also include the identification of relevant information and the determination of the environment, which will be used for developmentAssignment DeliverablesDevelop, recommend, implement and manage technical architectures at the specified experience levelDeveloping, recommending and implementing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data modelsPreparing systems analysis and design in large systems environmentsDeveloping design for large system integrationsDeveloping enterprise architecture deliverables based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practiceFacilitate, gather, report, and deliver information to governing bodies for approval. i.e. OPS security assessment and Architecture Review Board Facilitate, present, and deliver all relative materials to get approval of OPS Cyber Securities Assessment and OPS Architectural Review BoardA Note on the VOR Master Service Agreement:The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2025, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2025-26. If the current statement of work expires on March 31, 2025, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2025, based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2025, and be upon the same terms, conditions, and covenants contained in the SOW. The start date is subject to change based on security clearances and contract signing timelines.Desired Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 functionalities and capabilities.Knowledge of native capabilities of the system that need to provide the functionality (e.g., Dynamics 365 or any other system).Proficiency in developing and customizing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365, including experience with tools such as Power Platform, X++, and other Dynamics development frameworks.Leadership experience in the development and implementation of technical architectures at the specified experience levelExperience developing, recommending, implementing and managing technical architectureExperience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management toolsAwareness of emerging technologies, trends and directionsExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skillsA team player with a track record for meeting deadlinesExperience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models)Strong communication skills to participate in team discussions, ability to explain complex technical terms for a non-technical audience, make solution recommendations and document/explain workAbility to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, to sell your ideas to colleagues, both technical and non-technical Demonstrated the ability to get buy-in from a team to implement new and improved ways of doing thingsResumes Evaluation/Criteria:Criteria 1: Technical Skills - 40 PointsHands on experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloudExtensive experience with at least three different platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, and communications protocolsExperience with middleware and gatewaysKnowledge of performance considerations in different environmentsExperience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applicationsExtensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environmentsKnowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL and is able to guide others using this methodologyCriteria 2: Functional Knowledge - 30 PointsExperience in working with technical and business partners in creating information architecture and models Experience translating business requirements into reporting needsExperience preparing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data modelsExperience of the OPS Cyber Securities Assessment, documentation of Threat Risk Assessments, and Architecture Review Board process.
