ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities within the contract. This includes supervising staff, managing site and plant maintenance, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards—meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and allocate resources effectively for weekly maintenance programmes
• Lead and supervise the maintenance team on-site and off-site
• Provide hands-on guidance for complex tasks when needed
• Monitor job performance, manage risks, and coordinate emergency responses
• Ensure fleet and plant maintenance schedules are met
• Foster strong customer relationships and a culture of excellence
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes
• Champion safety, quality, and compliance across all operations
• Lead by example, promoting Ventia’s values: Integrity, Collaboration, Challenge, and Ingenuity

ABOUT YOU

Experience:

• Solid experience in road maintenance, civil construction, sealing methods, and drainage maintenance
• Proven ability to build and manage teams
• Strong knowledge of pavement repair, chip sealing, and asphalt construction
• Experience in budget management and site administration

Qualifications:

• Class 1 & 2 NZ Driver’s Licence
• Diploma in Civil Construction (preferred)
