Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced and inspiring Registered Nurse (RN) Manager to lead our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at our Waxahachie campus. About the Unit
- 25-bed mixed PCU
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Supports a diverse PCU patient population
- Actively preparing for Level III Trauma designation
- Stable unit with low turnover and strong team engagement
Role Overview
The RN Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the PCU. This role ensures high-quality patient care, staff development, regulatory compliance, and achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing leadership and direction for nursing staff and supervisors
- Overseeing daily operations, staffing, and patient flow
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
- Supporting quality initiatives, performance improvement, and Magnet principles
- Partnering with senior leadership on unit growth, expansion, and program development
- Serving as a clinical and operational resource for the care team

Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Leadership experience
- Strong clinical background, preferably in PCU or acute care settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
- Experience in quality improvement and unit-based program development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is needed for this role.
- A minimum of (3) three years' relevant experience is desired.
- Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of starting the job.
