Under limited supervision, performs duties related to day-to-day treasury operations including cash forecasting, liquidity management, investment strategies, and bank operations. We are seeking a team member with exceptional analytical skills who can integrate traditional treasury management expertise with cutting-edge technological capabilities and advanced communication skills. This individual will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial operations, participating in effective cross functional partnership and enhancing our decision-making processes.
Principle Duties:
Prepares daily cash position estimates and ensures that all anticipated cash flows are properly reflected within Treasury’s cash flow forecasts.
Works with critical departments within RGA to ensure cash needs are communicated to Treasury resulting in adequate cash for the operational needs for all RGA subsidiaries.
Prepares and posts journal entries and coordinates proper accounting within PeopleSoft. Resolves accounting issues with related departments.
Collects and compiles information for use in departmental dashboards or other analytics as required
Completes daily money market investing and ensures compliance with RGA counterparty exposure limits
Conducts financial analyses and streamlines/improves existing processes using advanced analytical tools
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for various Treasury needs
Provides analytical support for domestic and international Treasury issues.
Liaisons with various banking partners to ensure requests are processed timely, troubleshooting delays as needed
Maintains a high degree of accuracy and adheres to deadlines
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent related work experience required
Master’s Degree preferred
Work Experience:
2-5 years Treasury or related financial role required
Big 4 or other public accounting experience preferred
PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience preferred
Insurance/Reinsurance accounting experience preferred
Experience with advanced technology tools, AI and/or machine learning applications in finance preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis
Knowledge of accounting/finance theory and applications
Knowledge of banking and treasury management products and services
Knowledge of U.S. securities settlement processes
Ability to work well with all levels of management
Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload
Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects
Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
Intermediate interpersonal skills
Ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
Ability to foster customer service as needed
Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management
General business knowledge
Advanced understanding of cash forecasting techniques and/or financial modeling preferred
Basic knowledge of treasury workstations preferred

Compensation Range:
$66,740.00 - $94,800.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
