About the Role 

 

In this pivotal Resource planning lead role, you’ll coordinate workforce supply and demand across our in home community care services. Using data, insights, and forecasting, you’ll help maintain smooth operations, identify workforce risks, and support strategic workforce delivery. 

 

Working closely with BI analysts, Workforce Planners, and Practice Support Officers, you will: 

 

  • Be an SME on logistics processes to maximise workforce delivery performance 
  • Lead accurate resource planning and forecasting for community staff and external providers 
  • Identify workforce gaps, risks, and trends, escalating and resolving issues with operations 
  • Translate national workforce and geographic insights into actions that improve efficiency, commercial outcomes, and staff experience 
  • Support PSO teams in using automated resource optimisation tools 
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies to address workforce deficits 
  • Contribute to workforce strategies that support organisational growth 

 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

 

  • Analysing logistics processes to identify opportunities 
  • Manage end to end capacity planning 
  • Use data and BI tools to optimise forecasting and workforce reporting 
  • Support advanced booking of agency and provider staff 

 

Geographic & Operational Efficiency: 

 

  • Analyse workforce distribution, travel time, and referral activity to redefine workforce coverage areas 
  • Provide insights to improve service delivery, reduce overtime, and enhance staff satisfaction 
  • Maintain national workforce datasets and coverage information 

 

Scheduling & Rostering Support: 

 

  • Ensure the right mix of staff capability and availability 
  • Improve scheduling cycles and provide guidance to PSO teams 

 

About You: 

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, HR, or related field 
  • Experience in capacity planning, or scheduling (community healthcare, logistics, or FMCG preferred) 
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail 
  • Understanding of staffing models and demand-driven workforce planning 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
