Oxy Algeria will be running 2026 summer internships lasting approximately 8 weeks, starting in early July. This internship is only open to students who will still be enrolled (not have graduated) from a Bachelor's or Master's course at an Algerian University in the summer of 2026.
This position will be based at Groupement Berkine in Hassi Messaoud following a brief onboarding at Oxy in Algiers.
This project involves reviewing past stimulation activities in the El Merk (ELM) Block to understand how effective they were. The intern will identify which stimulations worked well, which did not, and how future stimulations can be improved. The goal is to reduce costs while protecting base production.
Expected Deliverables:
- Review of past stimulation activities
- Identification of effective and ineffective stimulations
- Simple analysis of production response
- Practical recommendations to optimize stimulation and reduce costs
Final summary report or presentation
You must be studying Petroleum Engineering or a very closely related discipline.
Fluent English & French required. Arabic beneficial
- Knowledge of Reservoir and Production Engineering
- Good communication skills,
- reporting and presentation skills,
- Proficiency MS Office Suite
- Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.
