What's the role?

Team:

This team is responsible for managing the portfolio of products and services used in driver assistance and autonomous driving vehicles. The scope covers all related products in HERE’s portfolio, from standard definition data for driver assistance solutions to centimeter-accurate lane data & services for hands-free driving. Additionally, the team will develop immersive in-car use cases and software products to highlight the benefits of driver assistance. We handle topics and processes related to the creation of new offerings, ranging from ideation, pricing, development, and taking solutions into the market. To achieve this, we participate in various activities with partners and customers to capture the market needs. The team has a vision to make autonomous driving become a reality for everyone and in every market.

As ADAS/AD moves towards model-driven intelligence, industry value is extending from map delivery to model training and validation. HERE can convert its map and drive data into a scalable AI model-creation platform, capturing significant value from training, validation, and next-generation ADAS/AD performance. 

It’s the growth of HERE’s AI-model creation platform that turns maps and drive data into reusable spatial intelligence, powering scalable training, validation, and next-generation ADAS/AD performance. 

Learn more about the product here: ADAS & HADAs Product Manager -Simulation, you are accountable for the full simulation domain, ensuring simulation products scale across training, validation, and verification use cases. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product backlog and roadmap for all simulation topics (scenarios, sensors, simulators, virtual testing).
  • Translate ADAS/AD development needs into clear, scalable simulation product requirements. 
  • Drive execution with engineering, data, and ML teams to optimize simulation accuracy, efficiency of solutions, and enhance usability for AI/ML.
  • Own integrations with third‑party and internal simulation platforms.
  • Define and track adoption, quality, and usability metrics. Also, ensure simulation capabilities are reusable, production‑ready, and cost‑effective.
  • End-to-end product responsibility for location-based software products that target automotive simulation with a focus on ADAS and AD.
  • Prioritize features based on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, AV startups, and research institutions.
  • Drive innovation in digital twins, reinforcement learning, and virtual testing environments.
  • Oversee a product portfolio that drives innovation for virtual workbenches and leverages the accountability of digital twins.
  • Align with regulatory teams to meet AV safety and compliance standards – UNECE NATM, EU Regulation 2022/1426 (2).
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in automotive software to drive innovation in driver assistance and autonomous systems.

Who are you?

  • University degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field 
  • Several years of product management experience in simulation, virtual testing, or ADAS/AD development environments. 
  • Strong domain knowledge in scenarios, sensor models, and simulation-based validation (Must have).
  • Familiarity with simulation standards and ecosystems (e.g., OpenSCENARIO/OpenDRIVE, common AVsimulators).
  • Proven ability to work at the intersection of domain experts, engineers, and product stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, digital twins, and synthetic data generation.
  • A proven track record in delivering complex products or custom solutions is required.
  • Excellent communication skills to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Nice to have:
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
