As a Renovation Technician at Griffis Residential, you'll play a pivotal role in revitalizing apartment homes to meet our impeccable standards of cleanliness, appearance, and safety. Your technical and mechanical skills will shine as you tackle tasks ranging from drywall and painting to minor plumbing and electrical work. In this role, you'll be a crucial part of our team, ensuring each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute renovations within communities, encompassing tasks like drywall, painting, minor plumbing, light electrical work, appliance repair, vinyl/carpet restoration, and cabinetry adjustments.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned projects promptly, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes.
  • Safeguard and maintain all entrusted equipment, adhering to Griffis Residential's safety protocols.
  • Foster a culture of safety by actively participating in safety meetings and promptly reporting accidents and incidents.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by employing resources wisely and using tools proficiently.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong teamwork mentality and adaptability to multitasking throughout the day.
  • Ability to travel to various properties within the region.
  • Basic construction and remodeling skills, including tool proficiency.
  • Problem-solving skills and a logical approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, appliances, pool maintenance, painting, drywall, and carpentry.
  • Proficiency in English communication; Spanish bilingualism is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and an inclusive work environment.
